For more than thirteen years, the Foundation College of the University of Culture has dedicated itself to the training of cultural custodians, culture creators and culture spreaders. During its activity, the college has educated, taught and brought up graduates who contributed to the development, preservation and transmission of national culture with their moral values, professional skills and creative abilities.
The foundation college of the University of Culture was founded in 2012. From the day of its establishment, high-ranking specialists in the field, distinguished figures of culture and pedagogues with scientific degrees and titles have taught at the University of Culture and the base college. Today, Vice President of the Union of Artists Khachik Azizyan, Professor Samvel Galstyan, Associate Professor Sevada Shhoyan, Professor Anahit Khechumyan, Vahan Harutyunyan, Vladimir Virabyan, Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor Artur Ghazaryan, Petros Gharibyan, Candidate of Economics Anna Parsyan and other outstanding pedagogues are teaching at the university and base college.
Thanks to professional teaching staff, modern educational programs and wide opportunities for practical training, the college has become the platform where self-confident, knowledgeable professionals are formed.
College students participated in 2012 “Golden Whistle” at the republican festival and lead the first three prize winners. In 2014, college students participated “Orange Kobuleti” at the international festival and won the “Grand Prix” award. In 2015, students from the Department of Design of the MH Foundation College participated at the exhibition organized in Alanya, Turkey. In 2016, college students participated At the “Armenia 2016” international festival organized in Tsaghkadzor and won the first prize.
MH Base College has conducted admissions in the following majors: Performing arts of musical instruments (4 years), Design (4 years), Organization of service in hotels and tourist complexes (3 years), Singing (4 years) and: Dance (3 years).
The mission of the University of Culture and Foundation College is to:
- Provide high-quality professional education in various fields of culture,
- To promote students’ creative growth and self-expression opportunities,
- To instill love and responsibility towards national values,
- To train a new generation of cultural ambassadors who will be able to preserve traditions and introduce innovation at the same time.
The University of Culture and the Foundation College fundamentally follow the continuous development of communication with society in the context of nation, people, culture, and universal values.
College education is culture-centered and individual-centered. Aesthetic and moral education is emphasized.
Education and upbringing in the MH base college are aimed at the formation and development of a person with the ability of active creative self-expression in professional activities, humanistic and scientific systematic knowledge and abilities. Today, a number of university and college graduates not only actively participate in the organization and development of cultural life, but also represent Armenia on national platforms as dignified ambassadors of Armenian culture.
The MH base college is located in a building with conditions that ensure the implementation of the educational process, which is located at 40 Arshakunyats Street.
